Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal deserves all compliments for becoming a trend-setter by unveiling statues of Bhagatsingh, Sukhdev and Rajguru at premises of Delhi Legislative Assembly after 85 years of their supreme martyrdom on 23.03.1931.

Country is presently flooded with statues of some few individuals only with more added to the list in certain states by certain regional political rulers for their parents/political mentors like in Haryana where the then Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala for his father Devilal. Rule should be that any installation of statue at public places or naming of public-institution may only be through consensus of Prime Minister/Chief Minister with Opposition Leader.

In the meanwhile Prime Minister Narender Modi who took right decision to install tallest statue in India of forgotten Congress leader Sardar Vallabhai Patel, should install an attractively designed statue of trio of Bhagatsingh, Sukhdev and Rajguru in empty India Gate canopy as a fitting tribute to dark pre-independence era where statue of King George V installed there by British rulers in India was rightly removed many years ago.
